Knock, knock. Who’s there?

A little about the woman behind Levitate Wellness

For a long time, I thought strength meant I had to push through, keep going, be the toughest, endure the pain, take care of everyone else first, put a smile on my face, get up tomorrow and do it again, don’t even think about complaining, because there is always someone else who has it worse than me! And while there is absolutely a place for perseverance, over the course of the last few years I’ve learned something much deeper: Real strength isn't always about pushing yourself harder and enduring the pain, it’s being kind to one’s self and others, giving yourself grace, setting healthy boundaries and saying “no” when necessary, it’s asking for help when you genuinely need it, and letting those people help when they offer!

That realization is a big part of why Levitate Wellness Hypnosis exists.

My journey hasn’t always been what I’d hoped it would be. I'm a wife, a mom, a coach, a business owner, and someone who has walked through some incredibly difficult seasons. I've experienced physical challenges, many surgeries, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, setbacks, disappointment, and moments when I wondered what life was going to look like on the other side of everything I had been through. There were times when my body didn't cooperate with the plans I had for my life. There were times when I felt like I was constantly trying to catch up with the person I used to be and losing her along the way. There were times when I had to learn that healing is rarely about getting back to who you once were. The person I was doesn’t exist anymore. She is forever changed by circumstances, wanted and unwanted. I think that it’s important for me to remember that not all change is bad. And, whether good or bad, those instances have changed my path forever. For me, healing has been about discovering who I can and will become.

In the thick of it, I discovered the power of the mind. What started as something I was just curious about became something much bigger. I discovered that the mind is incredibly powerful—not because we can simply "think positive" and make every problem disappear, but because the way we think, feel, understand, and respond to the world can profoundly influence the way we live. I knew one thing for sure: I wanted to help others find the same hope I had longed for. I wanted to be part of the reason others found themselves, even the newest versions of themselves. The shards of broken glass that have been through the refiner’s fire coming out the other side as a beautiful blown-glass masterpiece!

I was so excited to start helping! I began reading all the books, and as I felt more confident, I started taking classes to become a clinical hypnotist. I continued my education in NLP and life coaching. I learned from experienced practitioners and mentors from all walks of life.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with children, teenagers, adults, athletes, and older adults. And although their circumstances may look completely different, I often see the same thing underneath:

Someone who wants to feel different.

A child who wants to feel brave.

A teenager who wants to believe in themselves.

An athlete who wants to stop getting in their own way.

A parent who wants to feel less overwhelmed.

Someone struggling with anxiety wanting to feel safe again.

Someone who has lost confidence and doesn't know how to find it.

Someone who has been through something difficult and is ready to stop allowing that experience to define them.

And sometimes, it's simply someone who says, "I know I want something to change, I just don't know how." That's where we begin. I don't believe you're broken. This is one of the most important things I want my clients to know. You are not broken because you struggle with anxiety. You are not weak because you're afraid. You are not a failure because you've experienced setbacks. You are not your worst day. You are not your past. And you don't have to spend the rest of your life fighting against yourself or punishing yourself for things that were out of your control or things that were in your control that you felt should have gone differently.

Our brain is constantly learning. It develops patterns based on our experiences, our environment, our thoughts, and the meaning we attach to what happens to us. Sometimes those patterns help us. Sometimes they don't. Hypnosis can create space to begin changing those patterns and develop new responses. It isn't about losing control. It's about learning that you may have more influence over your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and responses than you realize.

My experience as a coach has taught me so many important lessons. I love working with athletes and young people because sports teach us so many life lessons. You don't become confident because someone tells you to "be confident." Confidence is built. It comes from preparation. From keeping promises to yourself. From recovering after mistakes. From showing up again…. And again. I've built much of my work with athletes around a simple idea: Confidence isn't just created out of thin air. It's the result of consistent, repetitive actions over time. This principle applies far beyond sports. It applies to parenting, relationships, business, recovery, personal growth, healing, and the way we show up every day.

My faith is part of who I am, too. My faith has played an important role in teaching me about hope, resilience, compassion, service, and the belief that people are capable of becoming more than their circumstances might suggest.  I believe there can be light after incredibly dark seasons. I have been reflecting on a quote I half remember from a while back, in this quote it says that “Even darkness must surrender to the faintest light.” (author unknown) If we can raise our heads just enough to see beyond the darkness, squinting with all our might and strength, the flicker of light in the corner can begin the process of burning brighter and brighter, even if it’s a little at a time.

My spiritual beliefs are personal to me, and I never want a client to feel pressured to believe exactly what I believe. What I do hope to bring into every session is the compassion, respect, and genuine care that I have been taught.

Being a mom has probably taught me the most. Having children has given me an entirely different perspective on confidence, fear, mistakes, and resilience. I've watched my kids experience disappointment. I've watched them struggle. I've watched them try something new, fail, get frustrated, and try again. And I've learned that sometimes the most important thing we can give someone isn't an answer. It's a safe place to figure things out. That's something I try to create for my clients. A place where you don't have to pretend. A place where you don't have to have everything figured out. A place where you can show up exactly as you are.

So, what is Levitate Wellness?

To me, Levitate Wellness is more than hypnosis. It's about helping people discover they don't have to remain stuck in the version of themselves shaped by fear, old beliefs, difficult experiences, or circumstances beyond their control. It's about helping people look at what is within their control. It's about building confidence. Creating new patterns, developing resilience, learning to respond differently, finding calm, letting go of what no longer serves you, and discovering the possibilities that exist when you stop assuming that the way things have always been is the way they always will be.

I can’t promise that hypnosis will magically fix your life. I don’t believe in quick fixes. And I certainly don't believe that a person can do the work for another. You are the one who creates the change. My role is to help you access the tools, resources, perspectives, and strengths that are already within you—and then help you learn how to use them. You don't have to have it all figured out.

You might be reading this because you've been struggling with something for a long time. Maybe you've tried other things, and nothing is working, you’re exhausted from fighting the same battle over and over, you're a parent looking for help for your child, or you're an athlete who knows you're capable of more but can't seem to get out of your own head. You could be dealing with anxiety, fear, confidence issues, unwanted habits, stress, or simply feeling stuck. Or maybe it’s something you can't even put your finger on. That's okay. You don't have to know how to fix it before you reach out. You do, however, need to be willing to consider that it's possible something can change and know there's someone even stronger waiting for you on the other side. That’s what I hope to help you discover.

I'm Angie, and I'm the woman behind Levitate Wellness Hypnosis.

And if you're ready to take that first step, I'd be honored to walk alongside you. You do not have to stay stuck where you are. You can levitate.
